NCAR Graphics and NCL - now one package!

Greetings NCAR Graphics users,

I'm pleased to announce the release of version 5 of NCL and NCAR
Graphics, now released as one package and available with full
source code!

We will still release precompiled binaries, but they will be available
under a slightly different binary license than before. The source code
is released under a new and separate license. This is due to some
third party software we include.

NCL and NCAR Graphics will continue to have their own home pages for
now.

  (NCAR Graphics doesn't really have any new features, other than
   becoming part of NCL.)

To download this new version, go to:

This download is different than what you did before, and requires a
registration with a valid email address. We are required to keep
metrics on how many people are downloading our software (for funding
purposes), but we do NOT share personal information (email addresses,
names, etc) with anybody.

If you have any questions, feel free to email this list. You can
email me personally, but I prefer the question to go here so others
can benefit as well.
