Problem with a newly installed NCAR graphics system

 I have installed NCARG on the following system
Linux 2.6.9-34.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri Feb 24 16:56:28 EST 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I try to use the example with cpex08.f - and after compiling the cpex08 (and all other cpex0* examples...) example I run ctans and get an Xwindow witha black screen.

I am not sue why this happens - in particular since when I run RAMS results with idt I do get them on the X window.

Could it be related to the use of lib64 instead of Lib - or to not using HDF4 ?

What can I do to remedy the situation ?
