I am new in installing NCARG - mainly to visualise the results of RAMS.

I have installed NCARG in a LINUX x86_64 GNU/Linux system but I do not
mange to run the examples in lib/ncarg/examples directory (the ones like
cpex08.f) as it is suggested in the INSTALL_README file. I do manage to
compile the cpex* files - but after running the ctrans -d X11
cpex08.ncgm command I get an empty black Xwindow with something looking
like a skull in the left upper corner. For many of the cpex0* examples.

On the other hand, I have no problems running the results of RAMS and
REVU, but when I run the example's result with ./idt gmeta (the output
of the RAMS program) I get a window, but when I click the animate
button, I only get 9 frames (from 12:00 to 20:00) whereas there are 25
frames. (from 12:00 till 12:00 the next day). Anything I can do about it
- or should I consider it a RAMS rather than an NCARG problem ?

Note that the computer runs with lib64 rather than lib and I did not use
HDF4 as recommended. I was wondering if there is anything I can do on
that, since RAMS asks us to compile HDF5 and there may be
incompatibilities when both HDF5 and HDF4 are on teh same computer.
