We are using the following binary on our AIX 6.1.1 server.
ncl_ncarg-5.2.1.AIX_5.3_com_64bit.tar

I can display your file correct on our system.
Is there any other software that can convert gmeta to *.xwd?

Roy,

I just ran the same "ctrans" and "xwud" commands as you, and got a white
background. I've attached my output.mary.xwd file here so you can compare it
to yours.

If your xwud still shows a cyan background, then maybe the issue is with
that and not ctrans.
