-lX11 libraries

I am having problems running NCARG on my computer system. We have the
libraries, our IT guy at A and M installed them. However when I try running
NCARG, I get the error message that it cannot find the -lX11 libraries. I was
wondering if anyone could tell me how to fix this problem.
