Rick,

It is the case that if blockdata is not loaded, then the value for
the maximum number of error messages will most likely be zero
and the first error message processed will trigger error -107 since
its error number (one) exceeds the maximum number of error messages.
I have inserted code to check for the value of the maximum number of
errors being less than or equal to zero and issue the message:

     GKS load error:
        The flag specifying the maximum number
        of error messages is less than or equal to
        zero. This usually means that blockdata
        has not been loaded and indicates an error
        with your loader. Contact your vendor, or
        try using g77.
