Ryoko,

Whenever you get a "translator aborted" type of message from idt
or ictrans, this means there is something wrong with ictrans.

As I mentioned below, if you built NCAR Graphics from source, then you
should check your "make-output" file on the build of ictrans, as it
sounds like it failed. See what kind of error messages, if any, there
are shortly after the build for "ictrans" is started, and try to
figure out from that what the problem is. If you can't, then you can
send me your make-output file and I'll take a look.
