We use
ctrans -device xwd -resolution 1024x768 gmeta.ABC.TMW>output.xwd

We export DISPLAY variable first, then execute the following command:
xwud -in output.xwd

Thanks for the file.

How exactly are you using ctrans? I do see that the background is white when
I look at the gmeta file with:

ctrans -d X11 gmeta.ABC.TMW

Also, how are you using "xwud" to display the file? Do you need to use xwud?
