After typing the command "idt gmeta" on linux interface, I got the error message "Error: Can't open display: 10.68.0.112".

The idt program uses the X11 server on your desktop to display graphics. If you are
running unix, this program is normally running already and you can try some simple
test program such as "xeyes" to see if a new window comes up.

By default, the environment variable DISPLAY is set to a value that will work properly.
If you are on the machine itself, this is usually something like ":0". If you have logged
into a remote machine via "ssh -Y" or something similar, then you will normally see a
DISPLAY automatically set for you that would look something like "host:#" where host
would be your desktop machine name or number and "#" would be an X11 port number
that varies for each login and is normally something between 1 and 15 or so.

If you are running on a windows machine, you will need to run an X11 server locally
before you start up idt within this server.
