ictrans: FATAL - open($NCARG_ROOT/lib/ncarg/graphcaps/####, O_RDONLY)

 




Hi all,
 
I have an issue with idt/ictrans, which I believe are successfully compiled and installed.
 
When issuing the command idt, I get the follow errors:
$ idt gmeta
reading stdout of translator: Illegal seek
Translator aborted
 
After some web searching, I do the diagnotics with the commands:
$ tgks0a
$ ictrans -d X11 gmeta
ictrans: FATAL - open(/usr/local/ncarg/lib/ncarg/graphcaps/#Z��,O_RDONLY)
ictrans: FATAL - Can't initialize device(/usr/local/ncarg/lib/ncarg/graphcaps/#Z��) [ open
(/usr/local/ncarg/lib/ncarg/graphcaps/#Z��,O_RDONLY) ]
 
I have searched the web and the only discussion on this issue is:
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Support/install_archives/2008/0105.html.
 
However, the discussion becomes personal afterwards and I do not know whether the issue was solved. Thanks in
advance.
