Hi Daniele,

This is a shot in the dark, but awhile back I remember users having a
problem with idt
if they had a login shell that echoed text to the screen when they
logged in.

The reason this is important is I believe idt executes a shell in
order to
fire up ictrans.

When you log into this system as usual, do you have any text that's
echoed
to the screen (from your .* files, and not just usual system stuff
set up
by your system administrators).
