Re: gfortran versus g77 with Linux binary packages

Hi Rick,

We have been trying to move away from g77. FYI, on one of my older
Macs gfortran just doesn't work, so I've had to continue using g77
for now (I haven't tried g95 yet).

As for the gcc V4/g77 combo, I'm puzzled by this as well. I think it
might have been an older version of gcc V4, like 4.0.1.

The machine we used for the 32-bit Linux binaries is no more, but I
have another one that I've been using, and it is using gfortran, if
you want some new binaries. What exact version of gfortran do you
have?
