Hi there,

I am trying to compile the NCARgraphics using the source. I got several
errors. I am using Suse 11.0 and ifort compiler. And I am trying to install
with NCL, HDF and netCDF suspport only. Before trying the source, I tried if
the binary version is working and it did. Even the ncl was working and idt
was working.

Attached please find the zipped version of the output make-output file.

Few things to clear...

1 - The ifort compiler is not happy to take the option
-fno-second-underscore. I checked the ifort documentation and it hasnt got
anything like this. With other options it was fine. What would be the
similar option you think? OR can I just ignore this option if its not gonna
effect? I know these options are not same for all compilers.

2 - The configure never asked for the location of the netCDF and HDF
libraries or binaries. How do I tell it so? It only asked if I want to
install them and which I gave yes.

3 - Since the binary installation was giving me the graphic window with idt
command am assuming the X issues are working. But the configuration was
looking for /usr/X11R6/lib where I have no files there. This is on
OpenSuse11.0. Does this mean that my X-windows is not properly installed?
But why did the idt for binary installtion works.

Thank you
Mald
