Honestly, you shouldn't be running NCAR Graphics on a vector machine
such as the SX6. It will be slower than running it on any reasonable PC.
Do you have any kind of front end system with access to the same files?
We had an SX6 and I never tried building NCARG on it, nor have I tried
on our Cray X1.
