Larry and Eric et al,
The Portland compilers seem to be the only ones that we need this long
list of libraries for. The gcc compiler, for example just requires
"-lg2c and "-lgcc". The Intel compilers use "-lCEPCF90 -lF90".
Since we have C code that calls Fortran code, these libraries are used
to resolve some symbols that the compilers need in order to talk to
each other. One of our developers has some familiarity with Lahey,
and he may be able to jump in and suggest what to put on the
"CTOFLIBRARIES" line.
