Nancy,

The code fragment you have included looks all right, but I would need to
see more of the code to make any guesses about what might be wrong. In
particular, the call to CPRECT doesn't actually draw anything; it just
initializes CONPACK in a particular way. And that might be affected by
calls to CPSETx routines that precede it ...
