Problem with running NCAR graphics 4.2.3 under Linux.

    Hello,
      I am trying to install and use NCAR graphics version 4.2.3 on a SuSE Linux
    6.2 x86 box. Everything installed fine, without error messages, but there
    seems to be a problem when I try to compile and run the examples. The
    compilation works fine, but whenever I try to run the executable, I get the
    following error message:
    GKS ERROR NUMBER -107 ISSUED FROM SUBROUTINE :

    From looking at a example file in C, c_tdex01.c, it seems that the error
    message is coming from gopen_ws(). Thanks in advance for your help in solving
    this problem.
