Thanks to all who have posted responses to my question on how to
create gif files from NCAR CGM, but please remember *I am on a VAX*. I
already know how to do it on a unix machine. CTRANS for VAX/VMS does not
support devices like "xwd" and "sun". If someone could just explain why
this is, I would like to know.
The suggestions I have received so far are all good ones, but they don't
hold true for us poor people stuck on vaxen. I really need some way
to do it in batch mode *on a VAX*...
