There is no current work-around available with ictrans to generate
smaller PostScript files. With the new PostScript driver that will be
released with Version 4.0, however, the PostScript file sizes will be
reduced by about 30%. In special cases (particularly in plots with
lots of polymarkers or cell arrays) you can get reductions by factors
of several hundred.
